Donate to your local non-profit and our mission here at EYYJ!
Donations help us with our sustainable mission to increase locally-grown food and have a direct impact on the Jacksonville community. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible under IRS section 170. Our mission is to educate children and adults on growing healthy food by providing demonstrations and resources to empower them to participate in urban agriculture.
Your Food Forest Headquarters Upholding organic principles & sustainable agriculture
We started out as a family run farm-nursery specializing in edible landscape and garden plants. We firmly believe in practicing organic principles and sustainable agriculture. Going forward we want to continue offering quality edible plants to the community but also provide more educational opportunities for this and help this next generation see the importance of this. We intend on doing this by facilitating more field trip grants and garden grants to schools and clubs. Our mission will include providing employment opportunities to a marginalized population in the special needs community.
EMPOWERING LOCALS TO EAT LOCAL ONE YARD AT A TIME
We are passionate about enabling people to grow their own food using organic practices. There is an Urban Agricultural Revolution going on and we are here to help you get involved! We believe it is possible to incorporate attractive food producing perennials, trees and bushes into your landscape. A yard should be more than a postage stamp sterile environment. It should be a place that feeds mind, body and spirit, a place to share nature with children, family and neighbors.
