Class Overview:
In Solstice Sweetness we will explore and engage through crafting herbal honeys and electuaries. Herbal honey and electuaries are ideal preparations for everything from seasonal support to gift giving. They fortify immune health and nourish the body. Participants will have the chance to select 2-4 herbs to infuse their honey with and apply basic knowledge of herbal energetics to create potent and delicious formulae. Each person is invited to make and take home both an infused honey and an electuary. Materials and resources provided.
What this workshop will cover:
the difference between infused honey and electuaries
varying potency and utility of fresh, dried, and powdered herbs
brief introduction to herbal energetics
overview of 3 of the plants we will be working with
information on the chemistry of honey as medicine and nutritional food
What are some of the herbs we are working with?

ginger
Many of these will be available to purchase after the class to add to your medicinal garden at home!
