Native Florida Plantain: Arnoglossum floridanum

Native Florida Plantain (Arnoglossum floridanum), also called Florida Indian  Plantain or Indian Plantain, is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Florida  and parts of the southeastern United States, including Georgia. Young,  tender leaves eaten raw in salads, smoothies, or lightly cooked in soups, stews, and stir-fries.  They provide vitamins A, C, K, calcium, fiber, and  antioxidants. Medicinally, it is highly valued for its anti-inflammatory,  antimicrobial, and tissue-soothing properties.
