In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Spring is the season associated with the Sour flavor, and there are reasons for that. In this workshop we will be crafting an herbal remedy using sour herbs, flowers, and other ingredients. We will also be developing an understanding of the sour flavor through discussion of the organs it most profoundly impacts. Join Elsie Lopez of Gold Water Alchemy for an introductory dive into the energetics of Spring through the lens of TCM. In Sour Remedies, we will gather to set intentions for a vibrant season while celebrating the creativity and release it bestows us with. To apply the knowledge further, we will explore the history of Oxymels which are delicious remedies often utilized as a daily mineral tonic, in cocktails and mocktails, or seasonal immune booster at this time of the year. Each participant will take their jar home. Personal jars render up to three 4 oz. amber glass bottles or six 2 oz. bottles, so during the workshop you will have prepared enough to gift to some of your loved ones.
Snacks and refreshments provided. All materials included.
