In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Winter is the season associated with the element of Water, but why? Join Elsie Lopez of Gold Water Alchemy for an introductory dive into the energetics of Winter through the lens of TCM. In Fire Cider, Water Season we will gather on the day before the Winter Solstice to deepen our understanding of the coldest season of the year while celebrating the opportunities it offers us. To develop this knowledge, we will connect folklore with modern science to understand how myth-making informs intuitive awareness of the workings in the natural world and our bodies. Applying the knowledge further, we will craft a warming Fire Cider which is often utilized as an immune-boosting and protective remedy at this time of the year. Each participant will take their jar home. Personal jars render up to three 4 oz. amber glass bottles or six 2 oz. bottles, so during the workshop you will have prepared enough to gift to some of your loved ones.
Snacks and refreshments provided. All materials included.
