Make a diffERENCE IN your community

Your donation to this organization will have a direct impact on the Jacksonville community. Our mission is to educate children and adults on growing healthy food by providing demonstrations and resources to empower them to participate in urban agriculture.

At Eat Your Yard Jax, our vision is to operate an edible plant nursery and educational center that empowers veterans and individuals with special needs through meaningful employment. We are dedicated to donating plants and resources to local schools and helping to create edible schoolyards that provide students with hands-on learning experiences in nutrition, biology, and history.

Our society has drifted far from its roots, increasingly entrenched in a ‘fast food, instant gratification’ mindset, losing touch with our connection to the Earth. We aim to facilitate a reconnection with nature, offering plants, gardens, and guidance. For the cost of a single fast food meal, one could invest in a berry bush or fruit tree, yielding seasonal delights for a decade or more! Looking ahead, a primary objective is to instill in the next generation an appreciation for locally sourced, sustainable food. We aspire to achieve this by expanding school gardens, implementing garden education programs, fostering edible school yards, and more.
